Past, present, places and people.
Boswells has been going strong for over 50 years because we keep looking for new ways to do things better. Times change – and we change with them – but our values stay the same. For us, it’s all about being personal, individual and accommodating. That’s why our food is always freshly prepared and made to order, so we can give you what you want, how you want it. That’s why we’re so much more than ‘just another coffee shop’. That’s why our customers keep coming back.
Our History
Our family company was founded in 1972 by Jeremy Burn. Over time we have evolved from ‘Swiss Chalet’ bakeries, to French-style cafés in the 1980s and then, in the late 1990s, to ‘Boswells’. We opened our first Boswells in the Brunel Centre, Swindon, and now have 18 fantastic cafés, all delivering our benchmark quality of food and drink, service and care, flexibility and personal warmth.
Our Environment
Every Boswells café is different, but they’re all designed to serve the same purpose: to create a warm, comforting and relaxing atmosphere whether you’re on your own, with friends or family, popping in for a quick coffee, having lunch or giving the kids a treat.
Our People
What makes Boswells truly different? The quality of our people. We invest a lot of time selecting, training and developing people who are just the right fit for Boswells. The kind of people who make every visit an enjoyable, memorable experience and one you’ll want to repeat. If you think you’ve got the qualities we look for in our staff and you’re ready to join a great team at the heart of your local community, get in touch.
